American Traveler is hiring a Chemo-Certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting serving an adult patient population
• Day shift with shifts varying between 8 and 12 hours, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• Clinic operates 7 days per week; must be willing to work weekends and holidays
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in IV infusion initiation, regulation, and monitoring
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administers chemotherapy, PO and SC injection medications, IV infusions, and blood products as ordered
• Provides chemotherapy education and guidance to patients and families, including phone triage follow-up after clinic visits
• Consults with medical personnel and may serve as a resource for chemotherapy-related information and side effects
• Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
• Coordinates patient follow-up scheduling, referrals, and care continuity
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning after that
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon accepting an offer
