American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and rotating day/night shifts.

Details

• Work in a cardiovascular/thoracic step-down unit (HVTI-Stepdown) within a large hospital setting
• Potential to float to other units caring for the same patient population
• Rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• PCU/progressive care experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down nursing prior to any travel experience
• Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience (travel experience accepted)
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Two professional references are required for consideration
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before starting another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
