American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Psychiatric position at a new 120-bed behavioral health facility in Fort Wayne, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of BH/Psych experience and flexibility to float across multiple units.

Details

• New 120-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Fort Wayne, IN
• Must be open to floating across Adolescent, Adult, and 55+/Geriatric units based on census needs
• Adult patient population with low acuity
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• 12-hour shifts, working 36 hours per week including every other weekend
• EMR: Wellsky (documentation); Omnicell (medication management)

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent behavioral health (BH) or psychiatric nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• De-escalation experience is a plus; Handle with Care or CPI training is preferred

Additional Information

• Facility is newly opened and currently activating units on a rolling basis
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 30 miles of the facility are eligible for local rates; those living beyond 30 miles qualify for travel rates
