American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Neuro Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of Level 1 Trauma OR experience, prior travel experience, and strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy skills.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 25 rooms and approximately 45–60 cases per day
• Neuro OR team with cases including simple 1-level to complex 10+ level spine surgeries, spine tumors, neuro trauma, craniotomies, and DBS procedures
• Day shift with 8- and 12-hour shifts and on-call requirements (D8D12 with call)
• Weekday call consists of 2 eight-hour shifts per schedule (2330–0700); weekend call consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts per schedule (0700–1930 or 1900–0730)
• 40 hours per week
• Floating to other service lines within the main OR is required as needed
• EMR: Epic (OpTime module)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong experience with neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy procedures required
• Must be able to respond on-site within 45 minutes when on call

• Candidates must be available for both weekday and weekend on-call shifts as scheduled
