American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring open heart surgery and vascular case experience with weekday hours and weekend call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Averages 6 cases per day, including open heart surgery and vascular procedures
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM on weekdays
• Weekend call is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Proficiency in open heart surgery and vascular cases required
• Competency in circulating duties required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating duties, patient positioning and preparation, OR setup, and serving as a communication liaison between family members and the surgical team
• Delegates and supervises activities of other team members while executing directives in urgent or emergent situations
• Completes Safe Surgery checklist verification using service excellence standards
• Assists with control and maintenance of OR supplies and equipment
• Participates in assigned call as scheduled
