American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and strong eye care surgical skills including vitrectomy and retinal procedures.

Details

• Large OR environment with 26 high-tech suites handling both inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Patient population spans all ages including neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Surgical services include ophthalmology, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, oral surgery, neuro, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgery
• Mid shift: 1100–2130 (4x10-hour shifts per week, 40 hrs/wk)
• On-call or extended shift requirement of 4–5 shifts per 13-week contract, which may be 12-hour shifts or on-call, day or night

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience with Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma center
• Strong eye care surgical experience required, including scleral buckle, vitrectomy, and retinal detachment procedures — experience limited to cataract surgery alone is not sufficient
• Scrub experience is a strong plus
• 2 manager references required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates will not be considered
• RN license must remain active for the full duration of the assignment
