American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health/Psychiatric position requiring at least 2 years of acute behavioral health experience and CPI certification, with night shifts and every other weekend coverage required.

Details

• Behavioral Health/Psychiatric unit within a hospital setting
• Also covers the ED Psychiatric Evaluation and Placement (PEP) area — a 6-bed locked psychiatric space within the Emergency Department focused on evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of acute psychiatric crisis
• Patient population spans adolescents to geriatrics
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Floating required to Pathways inpatient and GPU as needed
• Omnicell medication dispensing system used
• Epic EMR — experience required
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only)
• CPI certification required (MOAB or MAB also accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of acute behavioral health/psychiatric nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Scrubs: any color
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a local pay rate
• Former employees of any facility within the SolutionHealth system are not eligible regardless of length of separation or time worked
• SBAR communication framework used on the unit
