American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry position in Dubuque, IA, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience and prior travel contract history.

Details

• Float pool position covering General Med/Surg, Rehab, and Behavioral Health units in a 63-bed setting
• Patient population includes Med/Surg, Rehab, and Behavioral Health with a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administers drips including Insulin and Heparin
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday rotation required — must work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification highly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience administering Heparin and Insulin drips required
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required
• Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years preferred

• First-time travelers will not be considered — at least one completed travel contract within the past 12 months is required
