Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift travel assignment in Indiana, requiring at least 1 year of cardiac critical care experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• Acuity-adaptable Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) with 80 beds
• Variable nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4 depending on patient acuity
• Cardiac critical care patient population; open heart receiving experience preferred
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• Required to work 1 weekend every 3 weeks
• Floating required to all units within clinical scope across the Ascension hospital system as needed
• EMR: Sunrise Clinical Manager
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a compact state currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac critical care experience required
• Open heart receiving experience preferred
• Full Social Security Number and US home address required
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition as appropriate
• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Must be able to apply critical thinking and decisive judgment in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible for a reduced pay rate
