American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Pulmonary Stepdown (PCU) position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring active IN or compact RN licensure and experience managing medically complex patients with vasoactive drips.

Details

• 44-bed Medical Pulmonary Stepdown unit caring for a medically complex patient population
• All patients on continuous bedside cardiac monitoring
• Typical RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Vasoactive and high-alert drips include heparin, insulin, cardizem, nicardipine, and dobutamine
• Day shift: 07:00–19:30
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• One major holiday required per contract

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Full Social Security Number and DOB required for consideration

• 2 professional references required for consideration

• Provide nursing care to medically complex pulmonary and stepdown patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and vasoactive drip management
