American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis position in Iowa, requiring a minimum of 24 months of dialysis experience including inpatient and Fresenius machine experience.

Details

• Inpatient acute dialysis setting spanning two hospital campuses: Iowa Methodist Medical Center (5 beds) and Iowa Lutheran Hospital (2 beds)
• Patient population includes remote telemetry, ICU, AKI, and ESRD patients
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Equipment includes Fresenius 2008T machines (hemodialysis) and Baxter Homechoice Claria (peritoneal dialysis)
• EMR: Epic
• Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Monday, 7a–7p (36 hrs/week)
• On-call rotation required: Mon–Fri 1900–2200, Saturday 1900–0700, and Sunday 0700–1900 or 1900–0600
• Weekend work required as scheduled
• Floating across both campuses is required

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license currently in hand
• Active BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum 24 months of dialysis experience, including inpatient dialysis experience
• Experience with telemetry reading and measurement required
• Hands-on experience with Fresenius dialysis machines required
• Acute dialysis experience strongly preferred
• Experience with both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Provide acute dialysis care to ICU and telemetry patients across two hospital campuses
• Navy blue solid scrubs required
• Holiday rotation required; candidates must be available to work 1–2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Candidates who were employed by this facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
