Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology unit, requiring 2 years of experience and an active TN or Compact RN license, with night shifts and every other weekend coverage.

Details

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units as needed
• Travelers do not administer chemotherapy

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• 13-week contract
