American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced ED setting, requiring 2 years of ED experience and an active MD or compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting at a hospital
• Treats all age ranges from infant to geriatric
• Diverse patient population with complex, multi-system diagnoses in a fast-paced environment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
• Rotating Day/Mid shifts: 7:00–19:30 or 11:00–23:30; shift rotation is based on departmental scheduling needs
• 3x12 or 4x12 shift schedules accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating within the specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, and Queenstown) as needed
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in MD or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required (may be completed during onboarding)
• Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
