American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a community hospital, requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and both Missouri and Kansas RN licenses in hand.

Details

• 13-week contract at a 240-bed community hospital with a 16-bed ICU
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with post-cath patient population
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period, with shifts falling on a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• On-unit telemetry monitoring performed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking on-site
• Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
• No on-call requirement
• Scrubs: Navy

Requirements

• Active MO RN license (or compact equivalent) in hand at time of consideration — both Kansas and Missouri licenses required due to floating requirements
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must have at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months, with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year
• Telemetry and on-unit telemetry monitoring skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least one must be supervisor-level or above; the second may be a charge RN — all references must be from individuals who have worked with the candidate within the past year
• SSN required for consideration

• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Holiday coverage and Charge RN assignments may be required as needed by the unit
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
• Orientation modules are required to be completed prior to start date, averaging 10–15 hours
• No pending licenses accepted — all required licenses must be in hand at time of consideration
