Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN with BMT/Heme background and chemotherapy administration experience for a travel contract at a major academic medical center in Colorado.

Details

• 51-bed BMT/Oncology unit caring for patients with blood cancers receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies including stem cell transplants and CAR-T
• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 3-4:1, with the possibility of flexing based on staffing and unit needs
• Charting is done via Epic
• Shift options are nights (7p–7a) or rotating day/night (7a–7p / 7p–7a), 3x12-hour shifts
• Weekend availability required per unit needs
• Floating required between the BMT/Oncology and CTU units, as well as to sister facilities within the metro region
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Oncology Certified Nurse (ONC) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care BMT/Heme experience required; candidates with at least 1.5 years of experience may be considered
• Chemotherapy administration experience required
• Comfort working in environments with flexible staffing ratios is essential
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides specialized nursing care to patients with blood cancers undergoing chemotherapy, biotherapy, and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T
• Navy scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the required experience criteria
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a different pay structure than those qualifying for full travel rates
