American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Endoscopy position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with no prior experience required.

Details

• Work in a hospital Endoscopy department featuring ten treatment rooms, 30 pre/post-operative procedure rooms, and a high-tech ERCP room
• Provide inpatient and outpatient services for procedures including EGD, bronchoscopy, and colonoscopy
• First shift schedule of 0630-5, four days a week with 10-hour shifts
• Some weekend shifts required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care through nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document findings in accordance with hospital policies and scope of practice
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team
