American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Diagnostic Cardiology - Stress position at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac nursing experience.

• Cardiology Stress Lab within a 885-bed Level 1 Trauma academic medical center and Chest Pain/Stroke Center
• Patient population includes Heart Failure, cardiac diagnostics (TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo), chemotherapy evaluations, and renal transplant evaluations
• Department performs approximately 110 TTE/comprehensive studies per day across all areas, 14 stress/stress echo/NucCard/tilt studies per day, and 5–6 TEEs per day
• 8-hour day shifts, weekdays 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch), 40 hours per week
• Rotational weekends depending on unit needs
• Holiday coverage required depending on unit needs
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• No floating requirements
• EMR: Epic (Encompass); Epic experience preferred
• Equipment includes Philips and GE echo systems, GE CASE stress lab, and Philips ISCV echo reporting

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with cardiac experience required
• Most recent experience must be within the last year
• Proficiency in TEEs, stress testing, EKG interpretation, IV management, cardioversion, mild sedation, and infusion
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Perform diagnostic cardiac procedures including TEEs, stress testing, stress echocardiograms, and dobutamine stress echo studies
• Department team includes 19 echo technologists (including satellites), 5 RNs, 2 exercise physiologists, a dedicated Cardiac Ultrasound Educator, and a Chief Sonographer
• Fast-paced, patient/family-focused academic lab with a balance of portable and in-lab studies
• Orientation includes facility NEO plus 2 days of departmental training
• Scrub colors: Barney Purple tops and black pants/skirts; warm-up jackets in matching purple or black
