American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I Trauma experience and PA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital environment
• 13-week assignment with day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
• Floating required between Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and Honickman Center
• Floating among services within the main OR is also required
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• No on-call requirements
• No holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Trauma Level 1 course and certificate required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required, including Level I Trauma experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience required in cardiac, liver transplant, craniotomy, and spinal cases
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• Experience with ortho fractures is a plus
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide scrub and circulating nursing support for a variety of complex surgical cases including neurology, orthopedic, and spinal procedures
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate; local candidates are accepted at a different rate
• PA fingerprint clearance is required and may involve travel time exceeding 100 miles
• Fingerprint and Childline results must be dated within 12 months of start date
