American Traveler is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a school-based position supporting students with significant cognitive and adaptive delays, requiring a WA SPED endorsement.

Details

• Non-clinical school setting within an elementary school
• Openings include one position in a structured program and one at the preschool level
• Structured program serves students with significant cognitive and adaptive delays who are primarily non-verbal
• Day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day (7:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
• 37.5 hours per week
• Assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year

Requirements

• WA SPED endorsement required
• License required if applicable
• Specialized skill set and experience working with students with high-level cognitive and adaptive needs required for the structured program

Additional Information

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant cognitive and adaptive delays in a structured program setting
• Licenses and credentials preferred to be in-hand at time of submission, but must be issued prior to start date if not already obtained
• District is able to expedite certificate processing but will not apply on behalf of the candidate
