American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring GA or Compact license and pre/post-op (PACU) skills.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting, including outpatient endoscopy center and inpatient pre/post procedure areas
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Cerner charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Skilled in post-procedure care and recovery from conscious sedation
• Experience with circulating for bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD procedures
• Proficient in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with specimen handling and labeling
• A copy of Driver's License required for residence verification to determine local vs travel rate eligibility

Additional Information

• Provide pre and post-procedure nursing care for endoscopy patients, including administration and monitoring of conscious sedation
• Circulate for procedures such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
• Candidates residing within 31-50 miles of the facility will be accepted at the local rate
• Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted for this position
• Any requested time off must be minimal, especially around holidays, though managers will try to accommodate flexibility
