American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 1-2 years of experience and a valid OK or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with a renal emphasis
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required to like units within scope, with brief orientation provided
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Valid OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• 2 years of charge nurse experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required: isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Navy blue scrubs required

Additional Information

• Provide medical surgical nursing care with a focus on renal patients
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to be eligible for the position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
