American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2 years of Level I/II trauma hospital OR experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting supporting a variety of surgical specialties
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), variable weekday and weekend assignments
• Weekday night call shifts of 8 hours (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) may be required
• Weekend scheduled and call shifts of 10-12 hours may be required
• Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend coverage per 6-week schedule
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic EMR experience required
• May float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital approximately 15 minutes away

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Oregon RN license may be pending at time of consideration; Oregon CNA license must be in hand
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Level I or Level II trauma hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, general surgery, urology, and robotics
• Support surgical procedures utilizing equipment such as electrosurgical units, Da Vinci Xi, Mako Surgical System, and Steris systems
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols including Universal Protocol (Time Out), laser safety, and radiation safety
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of the health system are ineligible to apply as travelers for six months following termination
• Candidates may only be submitted to one unit within the health system at a time
• Refusing float assignments to affiliate facilities may result in contract cancellation
• RTO must be finalized prior to consideration; additional RTO requests after submission may impact eligibility
• Facility does not accommodate block scheduling
• Non-billable orientation modules (up to 8 hours) required pre-start and annually
