American Traveler is hiring an RN - Acute Dialysis with 18+ months of recent hemodialysis experience for a hospital-based dialysis unit and ICU bedside coverage.

Details

• Work in a hospital Dialysis unit providing hemodialysis (IHD) services to stable patients as well as bedside hemodialysis for ICU patients unable to travel
• Connect and disconnect patients receiving peritoneal dialysis treatment
• CRRT therapy is managed separately by ICU nurses and is not part of this role
• Utilizes Fresenius machines for IHD, with full orientation provided
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• On-call rotation required
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Dialysis experience required
• One recent professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the dialysis specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide IHD hemodialysis care in both a dedicated dialysis unit and at ICU bedsides
• Perform connection and disconnection procedures for peritoneal dialysis patients
• Full orientation provided on Fresenius dialysis machines
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation, with a maximum of two attempts to pass
• Nicotine-free facility requirement is currently waived for nursing staff
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates with prior permanent or per diem employment at this health system must wait at least 1 year from their previous end date before returning
