American Traveler is hiring a Pre-Op (AM) Admits RN with 2+ years of pre-op admission experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Work in the AM Admitting unit of a hospital surgical setting
• 20-bed unit with a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Patient population ranges from 6 months to geriatric age
• Uses ultrasound IV equipment as needed
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• 4x10 day shifts scheduled 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Float to sister units as needed, including Pre-Op Primary Main and On-Campus surgery center based on case volume
• Hours may be flexed based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA State or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• 2+ years of Pre-Op Admission experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• OR experience required
• Strong IV skills preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 65 miles from the facility
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Perform pre-operative admission assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures
• Navy blue scrubs required per facility dress code policy
• Located in Winchester, VA, offering easy access to Shenandoah Valley attractions and Washington, D.C.
