American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 1 year of multimodality lab experience and NJ or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a Diagnostic/Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, a multimodality lab covering Cath Lab, Endovascular, and Interventional Radiology services
• 13-week assignment on day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirements include 5 weekday call shifts (6:00 PM-7:00 AM) and 2 weekend 24-hour call shifts, potentially negotiable
• Performs adult diagnostic/interventional cardiac catheterizations, left/right heart caths, PCI, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and pulmonary embolization
• Utilizes ETCO2, ACT, and Swan-Ganz monitoring, along with procedural sedation, RASS scoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG, and cardioversion
• Manages vascular access including sheath removal, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), topical hemostasis, and external compression devices
• Administers antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
• Uses Epic for charting; Philips systems also utilized
• Floating required within skillset without exception

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCI RCIS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, with multimodality lab experience in Cath Lab, Endovascular, and/or Interventional Radiology preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must be fully vaccinated including COVID booster

• Work in a 9,300-square-foot, three-room multimodality lab providing diagnostic and interventional cardiac, endovascular, and interventional radiology services, including emergency and elective PCI

• Community teaching hospital setting within a 284-bed facility that is part of a leading NJ integrated healthcare network
