American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric PACU RN requiring prior Main Hospital PACU and pediatric OR experience along with NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in an 8-bay Pediatric PACU within the Surgical Services department of a hospital
• Provide 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio care to patients immediately post-surgery
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays, typically one night per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• No block scheduling available
• Floating required to units of similar or lesser acuity as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum one year of Main Hospital PACU experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Pediatric PACU experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered

Additional Information

• Manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and other post-surgical needs before transferring patients to the ASU for continued observation
• Work within a team-based Surgical Services environment focused on patient satisfaction and safety
• Access to advanced surgical technology and equipment alongside board-certified surgeons
• RTO must be disclosed at time of submission with a maximum of 5 days, subject to manager approval
