American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Pediatrics Home Health position requiring tracheostomy and ventilator care experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Dedicated home health position providing care in patients' homes, not at the facility
• Pediatric caseload consisting mostly of patients with tracheostomies and on ventilators
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• 12-week assignment length
• Floating required to other competent units as needed
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required at time of consideration
• BSN required for consideration due to Magnet facility status
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 6 months of experience required in Home Care, Geriatric care, Medical/Surgical, CCU, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, or DODD settings
• Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and on ventilators required
• Experience with pediatric patients and/or individuals with developmental delays preferred
• Experience managing technology-dependent and/or medically complex patients preferred
• Strong communication skills required to work across all levels of an organization
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required

• Provide skilled home health nursing care to pediatric patients requiring tracheostomy and ventilator management
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• No mile radius rule applies for this position
• Facility will consider prior employees for travel assignments as long as they are not currently active employees
• Facility has a strict do-not-call policy
• Background check hits are typically approved by the client
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
